We attended our Christmas Eve church service before heading over the the Goshorn residence for some really yum dinner and gift exchanges. Landyn absolutely did NOT want to wear the Christmas dress I had picked out so instead of fighting this battle (I was getting both kids and myself ready and loading up/packing the car solo while Kris was at work) I just let her pick the dress. It's still a tad bit big for her, but it's a dress from her cousin Ellie in Las Vegas and it was really cute on her :)
Landyn had a great time celebrating Jesus' birthday in her class at church with a birthday crown and goody bag. Then she joined us for "big church" for a beautiful candlelight service.
When we got home we made a birthday cake and sang 'Happy Birthday to Jesus'. We hope that Landyn and Lane grow to learn the true meaning of this special time of year.
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:21
